It is blended with an exclusive additive package that controls drag like a zero weight oil and yet protects metal like a heavy multi-viscosity oil.

Lucas Synthetic 5 was originally designed for NASCAR qualifying engines and NHRA Pro Stock engines, but has proven to also be excellent for Kart engines and Junior dragsters.

Lucas Synthetic 5 was used by the 2003 and 2004 NHRA National Champion in the very demanding Competition Eliminator class.
