Cesar, my wife has a 86 Olds Calais with 200,000 miles on it. In cold weather the power steering wouldn't function until the car and lubricant warmed up. Needless to say driving to work on a cold morning was a workout for her.
I had already replaced the power steering pump and the problem still persisted. I knew that the system was probably varnished up pretty bad and the next step was the R & P.
As an NHRA fan I knew you advertised a "mechanic in a can" solution to gummed up power steering. I discounted it, but decided to give it a try.
The system wasn't low enough to put the full container into the resevoir, but I managed to get one half into it. Did it work? Damn right it did and worked like a champ. It freed the system up and kept it that way for over a year.
The problem went away tha
