My 95 Mustang 3.8 liter V-6 Automatic transmission with 82,000 miles, developed a shudder in the transmission. It also began to leak oil. I also noticed some slipping when cold. I had the transmission oil and filter changed. I was told it still had leakage from the rear seal. The mechanic told me to see if the tranny fluid change helped and if it did I could take care of the rear seal later. It seemed to help a bit but the shudder problem persisted and I still leaked oil. I took the car to a transmission shop. The technician told me it seemed that it was probably hydraulic and I should bring it in for their routine diagnosis process.
I looked for a second opinion from a mechanic friend. He told me to try Lucas Oil. He heard it was a miracle worker. I got a bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix. He was right. Shudder GONE, leak GONE, slip GONE. I read a testimonial from your web site. For his Ford he called it the "dreaded torque converter shudder". Finally a diagnosis and then the CURE. It sounds unbelievable but true. I have taken the car on three, 280 mile, one day trips. That, and 3,000 miles later and still no shudder.
Thanks to the Lucas famil
