just finished a 1200 round trip to omaha. to omaha, straight oil. changed oil in omaha, here's the math:

28 mpg on the way there......

30 mpg on the way home......so, math:

3000 mile oil change/30 mpg = 100 gals used during course of oil change

2/28 = 7% savings

7% * 100 = 7 gallons saved

say $2.65 a gallon for premium

7 * $2.65 = $18.55 saved.

not to mention, lucas takes the place of a quart of oil for say $2.50

total savings to use lucas: $21.05

total cost lucas < 9.00>

net savings $12.05

so, every quart of lucas you buy for $9.00 puts $12.05 in your pocket....enough to pay for the oil change.
